Shouldn't it feature a massive tache and a leather peaked cap?

In America they like the Evora but think it's overpriced for a small european car (importy duties are deliberately high to encourage people to buy American).

http://youtu.be/5uvbt2vbzIo

Here we have a proper race driver (rather than an out of work former BTCC failure) on a proper race track (instead of an airfield with lines painted on it) lapping the Lotus less than a second slower then the Porsche Cayman R.

Enjoy.

P.S As for the Freddie edition. I think this is because Lotus make great cars and haven't needed an advertising team for a while and didn't hire the right promotions agent. I like the yellow seats, they remind me of the yellow jacket Freddie wore live at Wembly. wink

Why are Lotus out to make themselves look like a bigger and bigger bunch of idiots on an almost daily basis?

Words honestly fail me - it's sad, pathetic and demeaning to a once great British brand.

I hate what Lotus have become. I know they have done a number of dodgy specials in the past (and I know this is a for a good cause) but this marketing bks 24/7 is killing me.

Yes what kind of massive unpleasant idiots would donate an expensive car to charity to raise funds for people with a terminal illness?

Probably the same calibre of man sack that doesn't read before being smug.

Why would you want a car that has something to do with the worst and most annoying band in history?

Are they doing a Glee/Steps/Oasis/Cotton Eyed Joe version as well?

Sorry forget that the most annoying band in the world has got to be ABBA.

The one that played to the largest stadium audiences and stole the Live Aid show in 1985 by a huge margin? THe band that have been one of the most successful British bands in history? No idea...

Still, it beats the Polo Genesis and Rolling stones editions VW plugged.

seems like a good idea. Raise some money for a good cause and put the product in front of lots of people with money.

Personally I will take mine in black with cream interior......when I do have some money.

It is for charity. Someone will buy it. Charity gets money. How terrible of Lotus.

It's good news followed by bad news with Lotus.

Swizz Beats = Bad news.
Gordon Murrey = Good news.
Freddie's Evora = Bad news.
Money from sale of the above^ = Good news.

Going by my bullet proof logic, we're due bad news.

Yeah they are acting in a totally altruistic manner. And no way is this part of New Lotus bullst blitzkrieg marketing campaign that makes them look less like a historic sports car manufacturer and more like a pathetic PR company with no idea of their direction.

rolleyes You're reading the article. You now know about the car, AND the charity. Its about exposure, and raising money for the charity.

Abso-bloomin-lutely! My beef is with the terrifyingly bad punning.

Personally it wouldn't be the car for me, but as you say somebody will buy it, and be very happy with it - and a good cause will earn from it smile
