Or conversely, if you own a bodyshop or car spares shop that conforms to the UK guidelines, a way to increase your equipment base . . . . . .not as Daily Mail an outlook, but let’s face it, I could have a set of plates for your car, ordered from a none mainland UK supplier, here within a couple of days for £20!

I did see that but it isn't UK registered. A militart spec chassis with original tags would nned IVA/SVA assessment and the engine numbers would be checked and cross referenced against the stolen vehicle database (I would hope) before a log boog could be issued. Making it a pain in the cheeks as "ringing kits go".

That's a replacement chassis rather than replacement identity.

Post a link to it so the Pistonhead collective can report it to eBay.

Good find. bow

Under the continuous registration act it is an offence to retain the V5 registration document after a vehicle is scrapped. He may well be sellin the number plate but without a retention certificate it isn't transferable without the car being M.O.T'd. The only way to do that would be to put that cars identity on to a car that would pass one.

Very clever way to sell a ringing kit eh? wink
