I'd rather take a Zonda over all of them, simply for the NA noise. Although if street racing is your thing the turbo monsters post impressive stats!

Watch this video from Fredrik Hult to really get a feel for the Agera R. The look on his face and the sound it makes it just mind blowing. I thought I had a quick motor but it makes the M5/M6 look very very subdued!

Enjoy.
hehe

I want a car that's that fast, assuming the new M6 is faster than the old one, that's mental fast to start with, so the Agera R must re-define batst mental car wise.

Never been a fan of the Koenigsegg.

Undeniably impressive figures but they always claim this sort of stuff and it's never verified.

Always thought they looked extremely cheap and tacky (especially inside) and that's worse with the Agera/R.

Gimme an F1 any day of the week.

Did you watch the video above? Unless the guy in the M6 only has half of the power it should have or less that is one very, very rapid car.

Think the build quality has go one to the next level with these. Early cars where, apparently, a little bit flaky. Intersing thread in the ferrari and lambo section with tom73 (see he has already contributed to this) going on about the tub and how much better engineered it is over a Zonda. I love the egg though. Would sell my soul to the devil for one.

Can someone please answer me this. Over the last month or so virtually every UK mag and website has road tested the Huayra. And the results have been very positive. The Agera R on the other hand has been out for a year now and no one in the UK seems interested in testing it. The only tests I have seen have been by Euro mags and even then they almost always take place on Koenigsegg’s runway, which let’s be honest is not a road test?

So why the apathy towards the Agera R, surely its closest rival will be the new Pagani?
As said Harris wrote an article on it a while back, and I seem to recall the thrust of it was that he expected to expire in a ball of fire at some point during the test.

What with it being such a rare/valuable car, your answer is probably along the lines of that there are only a few journos who would be trusted with one, and those who are are terrified of them.

Oh yes I remember that one now in EVO, it was the white car with the ski box, if I remember correctly Harris was not very charitable with his review.

As for why others have not tested it I don’t buy your argument, sorely its in Koenigsegg’s interest to get the car some positive reviews as further sales would be a result. Also its gets their name out there. It worked for Pagani

Top Gear tested it when it was new out, it was their Hypercar of the Year 2011, it was the white one with the Ski-box. Can't remember who drove it for the article now, might have been Charlie Turner.
