They're both cheap, but a straight-looking V8 for a grand is very very unusual. There are loads of I6 cars from £500 and up.

I did promise myself a turquoise XJ6 at the Birmingham motorshow in 1994, aged 13. Old before my time.

Best I can manage is a '99 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro, 108k miles, alloys kerbed to death, for just £999.

However, no MOT *runs away*
