I imagine Kings/Queens would see some decent cars?

Ok guys and girls (let’s not be sexist now) lets put a different spin on this. Let’s pretend you are starting your new school today, you still retain your vast knowledge of the automotive world. What car would like your parents to drop you off in that would make you the star of the playground but not lead to you being bullied? It also needs to make your dad look attractive to the other mummies and your mum be seen as a class act.

Over too you biggrin
Something like a Maser Granturismo S?
Yummie Mummy would be able to drive to school, pop the kids out of the back, collect her fellow ladies who lunch in a classy looking car( pref dark colour) and then whilst sleeping off the 3rd bottle of wine, Dad can pick the kids up looking like he loves his cars (after all he did buy the 'S' rather than the boggy one.)

FFRR V8 Holland & Holland, looks like a bit of slightly pimped range rover for Mum, has a blown V8 to impress Dad, and a gun cabinet for dealing with bullies.

Today’s selection has included a brand new Aston DBS, Maserati Gran Turismo, Two newish Conti GT's, Porsche GT2, with full cage (nice) and a Ferrari California. All apart from the Porsche were driven by petite but wonderfully turned out yummy mummies.
What a complete waste of good metal.
It's not a waste, we get to buy them for bargain prices in 5yrs time biggrin

Someone has to pay for the depreciation.

How the other half live... My kids' friends got excited when I popped them to school in the RX8!

Then again, next the usual run of 4WDs and People carriers, it must look a bit exotic! (Or maybe they're just impressed we're rich enough to afford petrol for it biggrin)

M.

PS Sorry Lus1fer, but whilst it'll probably blow the kids' socks off, I can't see a stripy Mustang doing much for their mums biggrin

I remember at school when my friend Stephen's dad (who is Pistonheader "Turbobloke") dropped him off in his then new 911 Turbo.

Sooo cool.

Check it out on his profile...

DB4/5?

Dad

James Bond to the older mummies.
It's still an Aston Martin for the younger mummies.
It's a classic car, so you're not being obviously show off...

Mum looking classy? It's a classic Aston Martin...

Possibly E-Type roadster? The only risk for dad is he looks a bit of an anorak. The DB has the Bond advantage to rescue it...

I think to fill all those qualities, it has to be a classic car.

I'll never understand people who say that folk buying new supercars and using them for mundane stuff is a waste of money. I can't imagine that when my EuroMillions numbers come up I will be rushing to Kia to buy a Ceed with a 7 year warranty as a daily driver.

Only one lad at my school turned up in anything nice, normally it was his mum's RR but a few times his dad would drop him off in his F430... lucky sod!

He was hard as nails so got away with it but anyone else turning up in a flash motor was in for a kick'in and an empty wallet... Just ask the lad who got dropped off in his dads XKR!

(P.S. there was a boy that lived literally at our school gates when I was at 6th form who should have been driven in despite the fact it was 2 yards... his dad drove an Atom!)

My lad likes being taken to school in our battered 26 year old Land Rover.

His school does have its fair share of RRS / Cayenne / ML in the car park. Most of blinged up, all of it driven badly, all of it driven by the mum's. Strangely, most of the dad's drive fairly normal stuff (3 / 5 Series BMW's, Mercs, Audi's etc).

I've never met a woman who was really impressed by a classic car.
I take marcosgt's point re the Mustang but how about something similar:

But just to be sure and to let the mummies know you're both a family man and have some back seat room for some action, the Lagonda...

though that may lose points with the chiblinks "Wossa Lagonda"
