Interesting comparisons on the styling cues, i see maybe a touch of Bugatti EB110, & a little bit of Alfa Romeo RZ.

I registered on PH just to share that this particular car has been for sale for about 2 years now.

The seller has a showroom which regularly has some nice cars for sale (I remember seeing a DB7, a Cerbera and a Murcielago) but has had some trouble selling this particular car I think. Originally the car was on German transfer plates - so i assume the car has some German history. Not being able to sell the thing for such a long time doesn't bode well for this car though.

Guara... wasn't that an ingredient of those late-nineties Cadbury's Boosts with the green wrapper?confused

I'm in two minds about it, but it is certainly different. Is the centre console from a mark three Astra? Those vents look very familiar!

I'd love to know more about the car mind, the 4.0 M60 V8 is a wonderful engine.

Mike & Blade - you really don't mean that do you?

Rob's blue car does look better, especially in the flesh.

Here's another blue car.

Rob got a great deal at I believe circa £30K.

Me likes very much.

Every bit as expensive and horrid as the thoroughly nasty Bugatti EB110.

...nasty looking the EB110, but with a V12 and 4 turbos, you got to love it....

Hardly - it's illegal for use in America. Says so in the handbook.

It's pure aerodynamics though. I agree it's not 'pretty', but there's a simplicity about it that's preferable to a lot of the over-complicated messes passing for 'gorgeous supercars' these days.

Just goes to prove that a brilliant world-class designer working with a famous sports car house to create a low-volume supercar does not always yield a winner.

To be fair, it was a lack of money at De Tomaso, plus Fiat snaffling Maserati (they'd planned to take the Maserati Chubasco/Barchetta to Le Mans, but as soon as Fiat bought Maserati the racing budget was no longer there) that put paid to it not 'winning'.
