It's gorgeous IMO. The Mclaren can't compete in the looks.

Agreed (or the handling according to EVO magazine)

The Ferrari is superb looking but I'd have the mclaren simply because of it's exclusivity, but shhh don't tell everyone

Exclusivity. I have seen one 458 on the road since the model was launched. I've seen a fair few mclarens.

Back on topic. The 458 is a thing of beauty, but there have been prettier Ferrari drop tops. No point in repeating pictures, but the usual suspects are present and correct.

If I was ever fortunate enough to be able to afford one - I'll take mine in black please.

Doesn't matter how much I like the newer Ferrari models (and I really like the F430, 458 and FF), seeing a 355 like yours makes my heart beat faster.
Great pic fella smile

The 355 is also stunning. There's something about modern cars that i don't like, they all seem to have to have cute lines, everywhere.

If i had a 355 i think id just stare through the window at it all day lol.

Looks rather nice. That initial side shot seems quite reminiscent of the old Dino, which has to be a good thing!

Glad to see that with all their marketing money, they managed to get the English site to include a clearly visible typo on it wink

I dont understand how anyone can think that this car is ugly? IMO, its the best shape yet and I hope the other variations will evolve from the 458.

The shape is fine but the detailing, especially the headlights and the weird vents next to them, is absolutely horrible. I don't like the awkward mess where the forward crease just sort of fades out in the rear wing and a new one fades in above it; why not have one continuous line running the length of the car? Oh and those funny exposed rear lights are daft too, they looked much better on the 360 and earlier when you could only see the back.

Overall, the car just has too much "styling for styling's sake"; it's overly fussy and manages to be tacky rather than elegant, at least to my eye.

Never been a fan of drop tops for performance reasons but also because I find them a bit posey, especially a bright red ferrrari.

However, this is absolutely stunning, I agree the lights are a bit OTT but they dont' really detract from the shape, its a very handsome machine to behold.

+1...and mainly I think to the lack of weight/metal above the wheel arches. The front 'boot' is almost in line with the top of the wheel arch and thea rear deck similarly is very very low....gorgeous.

It looks so much nicer than the coupe.

Unfortunately, it still has the 'Dame Edna' headlights!
I completely agree: those headlights - like on nearly all recent cars - are hideous.
And more than this, you might think the bonnet comes from an other car! eek
A bit like so many BMWs, where the bootlid seems to each time come from an other model! nuts

I always thought the 360 was ugly too, until the F430 proved that the overall shape was pretty, it was just the 360s horrid headlights ruining it.

Unfortunately, the 458 coupe will never be a looker, as the side profile from the windows up is just disgusting. This is so much better, it almost looks like a mini Enzo except for the spectacles biggrin
