64.1 seems pretty good. My normal commute in the 520d sees approx 55mpg + 55mph. There's no way I could get in the 60s.

16 mpg round town smile

Can't we have an 'MPG' forum? It's a shame, but half the posts on PH these days are about diesels and MPG frown

Unfortunately, these are the posts that seem to get the most replies these days, if you post about a V12 engined supercar not many seem to contribute. Last year or so the number of car 'enthusiasts' has somewhat dwindled on PH.

My Mighty Focus CMAX seems to sit around 38mph average giving 51mpg over a few hundred miles of mixed driving, 70% motorway. It's those bd cold starts and around town pootling that drags things down

I did a trip to Surrey from Notts and saw an average speed of 58mph at 66mpg, but that was steady throttle mostly in 6th for around 350 miles

I see fuel economy as an important aspect myself, as a daily commute because it leaves more money to buy petrol for my TVR. So yes, economy does matter.

Yep, more money for fuel for the Mulsanne Turbo Red Label when it arrives.

I'm with you .... the daily grind in the diesel Skoda needs to be done economically so that I can afford to take the XJS on long meandering wafts around the countryside with intermittent bouts of full welly
