42.3mpg @ 38mph (all the roads I commute on are 40mph limit)

Clio Cup, not the worst for economy smile

I suppose I can get about 45/45, which isn't too bad for a petrol I suppose. I'd never actually bother, though. smile

OP, forgive me if I am wrong here, but I think pretty much everyone has missed the point of the thread.

I took it to mean, which car has the highest MPG and MPH figures that are the same!

so we only care if your mpg and mph numbers are one and the same (or close enough)

for instance, 53mpg + 53mph = good
but 24mpg + 73mph and missing the point.

to contribute to the thread, unfortunately neither of my vehicles could count very well.

a bmw 328i will never do enough mpg to reach any decent speed, think it would get about 45mpg @ 45mph.
and my YBR125 will never go fast enough to reach it's mpg figures :/

The 328 must have some speed for which it's true, even if it's only 25mph. hehe

True, but I think it's an interesting topic (although, as Efbe says, almost everyone has misunderstood OP's question!) smile

R500POP.
It's a 2011 Mercedes 220 CDI.
3 mile downhill schlepp to the motorway and then a 30 mile commute to the office in free flowing 70 mph rush hour traffic.
I'm sure the figure would be higher if the car warmed up quicker. It reaches optimum temperature just as I pull off the motorway 40 minutes after leaving home.

I also don't have the same figures, but like the OP we did drive to Frankfurt over the weekend. We had plenty of stops on the way back as we went via Reims and didn't reset the trips but on the way over we we averaged:

73mph at 19.1mpg!

To be fair, we were averaging nearly 21mpg and under 70mph until we reached Germany...

ETA: Think we averaged 61mph on the way back due to all the extra stops. I don't think the mpg got any better though.

yeah I had a think about this, and have edited my post, I reckon about 45 and 45 would be about right for it.

I have still yet to get the YBR125 under 75mpg though, and that was offroading it with a duff clutch. unfortunately she won't do those kind of speeds!
