If I'd have had the money I'd have snapped up mgmrw's e36 touring. I hope it's still for sale when I have the cash! Anyway. This thread is the result of hours wasted on ebay biggrin
So, out of interest, which one is mgmrw's?

I'm principally looking at coupes, but always interesting to see what's around. whistle

£1200 starting price and a fooked head gasket hardly fits the sub £1k criteria though does it? Lovely looking thing but you can let your heart rule your head.

I only looked at the pics before posting. I didn't necessarily mean that particular car either!

Nice car. If I could find a 328 Coupe with that sort of attention to its upkeep I'd snap it up.

Indeed... but that strikes me as quite good.

It certainly does, it's amazing how much metal you can get for a grand (or less) these days. Particularly where larger petrols are involved smile

Yes it's the M52B25 engine, the detuned 2.5 straight 6, with a simplex cam chain

The car in this - cost £950.

(the bike cost about the same too smile

e36 328i Touring. very solid, reliable, very practical, well specced, fast, capable, economic for what it is, handles well. can't get better imo!

My '02 9-5 aero books at about £900 now with 128k on the clock. 150mph, 30+mpg, all the toys, leather, elec heated seats, xenons etc and in terms of usefulness as an estate its big enough to fit a full size bike in the boot without even having to take a wheel off.
