Edit: broken down vehicle then. Still, if this is a regular occurrence and ruins your commute so often, my original advice still stands. Move house or job.
Simple as that innit rolleyes

Miserable bloody road. Spent 5 hours one night clearing junction 4 to 3 once and then still had to go the back roads because I needed junction 2. I will go WELL out of my way and down any number of crappy little B roads to avoid my section of the M25 on my commute.

Never work out how many hours you lose a week doing absolutely nothing other than watch fuel burn frown

I stand by the sentiment, if not necessarily the tone of my posts. By his own admission, right there in the first post, he thought there was an accident ahead but his first instinct was to complain about it.

It turned out there was no accident but that's irrelevant, he didn't know that at the start.

But what does it matter? Everybody moans about accidents, I moan about them & why shouldn't I? I don't know the people involved & one of them caused the accident in the first place.

Fine, you're right, I'm wrong. I just hoped there was a bit more human compassion in the world.

Always has to be one warrior on every thread.

I too (used to) get highly frustrated by the M25,I fortunately did start a new job 3 months ago that leads me no where near that hell hole, happy days.

I'm not having a dig at you but I don't think it's got anything to do with human compassion. Nobody wants to see people hurt & I'm sure most people would help as much as they could if they were at the scene, but if I'm 3 miles back in a queue after the accident has already happened there's not a thing in the world I can possibly do to prevent it or help at the scene.

Everyday I hear on the news about people being hurt or dying for many reasons, how upset should I be? It's a part of life that people die & get injured all the time. I think it's good that you're as compassionate as you are but you can't spend your whole life being upset over strangers misfortunes.

You can have all the human compassion in the world and a traffic jam is still an annoying boring place to be.

If it makes you feel any better ph i have no compassion for those hurt or injured in car crashes they cause. I only feel sympathy for anyone who may have been harmed by their stupidity.

Someone kills themselves driving like a tool i wont shed a tear or even give it a second thought.

fking hell, check out the drama queens. I'm not suggesting you have to sit crying in your car, tears dripping on the steering wheel.

Why is it one extreme or the other with Pistonheads? Why is it either fury at the selfish bds who have dared disturb your journey with their moronic crash or a melodramatic wailing? Why, if you think people have been involved in an accident, can't you just sit in your car, accept that there is nothing you can do and do it without drama or whining?

I thought I was an argumentative prick at times but some of you lot in this thread really take the biscuit.

Usually the same place you end, stuck in traffic........

Let's face it, the M25 is a terrible road.

4 lanes of people using 2.......

It's easy to be holier-than-thou when you're not stuck in the traffic jam, isn't it?

I spend my time in (slow moving) traffic worrying about the wear to my clutch. Sometimes, I even wish I had an automatic paperbag

I use it probably 3 times a week, invariably from junction 29 right round to 16. I hate it. I mean, really hate it...
