That's the one the head gasket let go on when EVO posted the unfeasibly slow lap

I've been very fortunate to drive a fair few of them. There are some proper classics in there and it's not always the obvious cars that are the most fun. That MK2 Cortina for example is surprising fun. Where as that yellow Cosworth isn't as much as you'd think.

I'll dig out some more later.
Maybe just me but they all look like toys in those pics confused

That RS2000 please!

I saw this last week.

Was just admiring the RS200 thinking how fresh and modern it still looks...

...until I saw it inside.

Which is a bit more dated.

Whilst Ford were making a retro inspired GT, they could have done one of these for the common folk too.

Love the heritage fleet. Driven a few of those too. The WRC transit was fun... In a slightly dull way

Have they still got the red promotional GT that's had 3 clutches? hehe
I think that went back to the states. To be honest, knackering the clutch was one of the least nasty things some jorno's did to that car irked
The car sat at in the reception of the Ford College for ages.

I think the stash covers a lot of eras Dan ......but most big manufacturers have a similar collection
Methinks there needs to be a thread for photos of these type of collections, they're so cool.

Actually, a photo process known as owning and F1.0 aperture lens and it being very dark (Focus RS MK2 launch).

Nice. We like a bit of genuine depth of field (well I do) biggrin

There was going to be an Acropolis version with extra power and a limited run but it never came about
I was going to say, I've got a Ford Cosworth book that has a press picture of the Acropolis car (with yellow wheels, IIRC). Shame it never came about! There is a rather stunning blue Escort Cosworth tucked away in the Dagenham photos too.

Might be the N-reg small turbo that usually gets wheeled out for mag features

Cool. Depth of field was so narrow I'd assumed you'd tiltshifted. I always had relatively crap lenses for my old SLR and only dreamt of having an f-stop of 1!

Jeez, and I was proud of my Noct f1.2 Nikkor - until now that is. What lens is that at f1.0? Sorry to go off topic but very curious.

Canon 50mm F1.0 discontinued a few years ago now. Bit of a sod to use due to the tiny DoF at F1.0 and can induce that 'looks-like-a-toy' effect as people have noticed.

But it does suck the light in well and you can make handheld shots under just streetlights at reasonable ISO.

NB this was actually a toy...

Mine had one just like this, same colour, same year for a little while - think i was about 16-17, he got it as being a barge fan, he decided to try a smaller car to save cash. He hated it and soon went back to bargeness. To a lad of my age, it was far, far better than anything he ever had, and i got to drive it rounf the learner driver center in Romford. Probably why seeing that struck me the most. Ah, memories....

He had his from new 84 till 89. Strangely both times it was stolen it ended up outside the same garage hehe

My mum was the funniest, one of her old cars was stolen, the robbers took the switches off the end of the light stalks, she didn't realise for 6 months until she had to use the lights whistle
