I'm looking to sell the Focus ASAP (drop me an email if you want a full-ticket winter shed for under a grand wink ) as I've spotted a very nice Mk1 MX-5/Eunos that I'm after, and was just wondering whether I'm a bit silly chopping in a 'sensible' car for a convertible for the winter (and longer, obviously!).

What is it like running a drop-top in the winter in terms of it being cold, freezing up, generally miserable etc?

Tell me it's not all that bad...!

weirdly am going to run the Talbot samba cabrio over winter again. Nice and cosy with heater on, reliable but it does leak a bit on my side. Mx5 wil b luxury in comparison go for it
