astra vxr or focus st

hi i am considering buying a new car and i am stuck between a astra vxr or a focus st just wondering if anyone could recomend one and why i know astra is faster but focus has more gadgets and is more comfortable thanks.

Test drive them both on interesting roads and make your own decision. I suspect you won't be buying the VXR.

i have tried focus and liked it but cant find a garage that will let me try a vxr without agreeing to buy

Bit of a redundant statement saying the Astra is faster. Astra will be quicker aslong as the road is bone dry, well surfaced and deadly straight. Anything else and its a different matter really.

i like straight line speen to be honest wich is why i'm edging towards astra also it does look a lot better

i've looked at all of them wont have renault because its french the golf is just to slow and just dont like the skoda or leon

New or used? If new, contact Vauxhall Customer Services.

I test drove both back in 2007. Bought the Focus and remapped it with a Code Red. It was a great car - fantastic 5 cylinder thrum!

IMO I'd go for the VXR on balance BUT

Wouldn't buy any other hyper hatch than a Megane R26..... absolutely brilliant car.

i thought about that but ha d to much trouble with french cars so wont have another.

What about a Mazda 3 MPS?

would love one but £430 a year tax plus the insurance is more than a astra or focus but they are a nice and very fast hatchback

The Astra isn't as bad as Dab of Oppo weekly makes out, I'd have the Mazda 3 MPS over both though.
