isn't the McLaren F1 a V10? But you're right it is an awesome sounding thing. It was the standout noise at the le mans 24hrs

Having been a V8 fan for most of my life, I am actually into straight sixes in a big way at the moment.

The only V12s I ever driven are the RR Silver Seraph, Phantom and Ghost. They didn't really sound of much at all which I suppose, in this case, is rather the whole point.

...having said that, the Phantom and Ghost were rather tuneful when really pushed...
