I don't think thats the case. If manufacturers had to meet a target tomorrow (say 110co2s average for each car sold) they'd simply have to bump up the costs of anything with a moderate or large engine to the extent where its unpopular enough that no-one buys them. It'd suck for us, but I don't think it'd cripple the industryJust a thought.
