rs 2000 mk5 abs fault

hi i have a fault with tha abs on my mk5 rs 2000 the light comes on goes out within 5 ses as it should thens comes back on and thats it there it stays dont know if its the pump ecu or a sensor its the eary system on front wheels only any help
