Probably been done a hundred times but who cares.

I'll start-

Vauxhall Corsa 1.0 12v
Rusty around the edges, jammed passenger door and whiney engine.Still a great wee car though.

I'm sure there are a lot more interesting ones out there so go ahead.

MGB Roadster (that was older than me). driving

350 quid fully comprehensive to insure in the first year. hehe

1983 Mocha brown vauxhall nova 1.0 with beige check interior. I bought it in 1990. Really looked like a piece of dog st on wheels.

I have a lovely bronze (rust coloured) Cortina Mk3, GYX 287J i believe. (very early Cortina Mk3 1972). It was riddled with rust and i paid £35 for it.

Corsa 'sting' 1.0 12v chavved up

Taught me what 'lift off oversteer' was......straight down a ditch

After that I grew up considerably!

First legal on the road - Marina 1.8 lovely steering... yes really. Had to push it backwards because reverse cog was up the creek.

First car owned - Mini. Made to sell it because i was taking it out and driving it around bunking off school.


ETA: Marina was £100 and the mini was £50

Mk2 Escort 1100 pop. Great little motor, £150.00 per year in dad's name insurance.

Looked like this.......



Shame they cost a king's ransom now. Who knew?

Yeah, the Mk2's are very popular now, especially in my area.What's the thing behind it?

G reg Fiesta 1.6s, Red it was, with white wheel trims. Think it cost about £400 and I f'ing loved it.

I thought it was really fast.

My first car was a mgb gt restored it before i could drive but have never driven it. I run around in my fathers car mg zs for a year but my first car regerstered in my name is m quantum mk1 £435 £735 insurance bargin.

Got a £120 Renault 5 when I was 14/15 a few years ago. Sold it a few months later for a profit. Thinking of getting a classic Mini now as my first road car biggrin
