Has cost me a fair bit, including £1350 on maintenance/repair recently, and so much so that I currently can't afford to drive it - but I love it. Hasn't properly broken down yet either. If we part company, it will be it getting rid of me rather than the other way round.

My first car was a Triumph Herald 12/50 - cost me all of a fiver but needed a new battery, couple of remoulds and the engine core plugs knocking back in! Lasted almost an year before the chassis finally gave up the ghost!

I had a red one of these

It was my 6th vehicle and 2nd brand spanking new car and I've always had a soft spot for it, one of the best cars I've ever owned.

I started off driving my mum's cars, but this was the first car ever registered in my name.

A 1991 Caterham 7 Supersprint, ex class B race car which was my everyday transport....by the time I got to my second winter in it I actually fitted a heater!

1961, bought in 1994. Foot operated dimmer switch, switch for sidelights, stalk for man lights, handbrake with right hand, ovredrive on other stalk, knackered syncros so ddc everywhere. Passed my test in it, though...

I thought having a bench-front seat would appeal to the girls...

...the bit about getting them into the car in the first place didnt occur to me until after I bought it!
