Audi RS3 - wider tyres at the front compared to the rear....
Discussion
I don't understand why people think it's perfectly acceptable to have wider tyres on the rear but not the front?
On a 4WD car, you ideally want equal pressure on the contact patches so you want the tyre width to scale with the weight over the axles - a nose-heavy car should have wider front tyres, a rear-heavy car should have wider rear tyres. Presumably the Audi is slightly nose-heavy.
So I'd say it's because Audi, or at least Audi's RS division, do know about handling.

Supposedly to dial out the understeer, I would think.
Although the user on here 'NBirkett' is a

I see a RS3 parked around the corner from my apartment every so often. I'll pop out in a bit and see if the car is there and check the tyres sizes....... As if I don't have anything better to do on a Sunday afternoon Although the user on here 'NBirkett' is a

goes off to find thread...

so still no idea ( ) but thanks for checking. I think I will need to ask a friend of a friend of a friend who is an engineer and works at either Audi or BMW as a contractor. May take some time though.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
