OP, does a 147 or 156 GTA float your boat? Tremendous engines, classic status already secured (probably), jaw dropping Italian looks, rarity and heritage all in a sub 10k package.
If you could guarantee it ran all the time I would have owned a 147gta by now. It's the worry of turning the radio on and other things work. I was driving home in my 156 and the wipers just started to work. I couldn't turn them off cos they were already off!!

Can't say any of my Alfas behaved like that to be honest. But even so, the wiper thing, its not a spectacular failure is it... worth it for the V6 soundtrack alone?I was driving home in my 156 and the wipers just started to work. I couldn't turn them off cos they were already off!!

I once had a nice trip in a 147 gta however I once owned a 147 2.0 and I got bored of replacing suspension parts/rubbers on a 'modern' car. Oh and a cambelt snap 28k after it was fitted.I'm sure in a few more years I would have forgotten about it though.
How much are 147 GTA's now?

The most expensive on the Classifieds is just over 11k, but that's comfortably more expensive than anything else on there, probably to do with the pearl white paint and comparatively low miles.I'm sure in a few more years I would have forgotten about it though.

The V6s are a bulletproof engine provided that the belts and water pump are replaced on time. Some use a little oil and you may need to fork out for a MAF sensor from time to time but there's no real weaknesses to worry about.

I've had a look around and it seems 6k will get a nice sport.
Its another thats now on the list
240z
z3m coupe
928 sport
Getting a decent 240Z will be harder than a Z3M or 968 so if you've found a really nice one go for that, enjoy it and in a year or two replace it with one of the others. Its another thats now on the list
