Not in reverse GEAR, but.....joined the motorway yesterday from the sliproad. Something slow in front of me in lane 2, I'm doing 60-ish, and there's an old Escort doing about 61 in the middle lane, several car lengths behind me but a little too close to just pull out. Nothing in the outside lane. So, I indicate, wait a couple of seconds for the Escort to move over, but nothing. Another couple of seconds, waiting to be sure he's seen my indicator, still no movement from him so I slowly start to edge out so that he has time to move into the outside lane. Now I'm sure I don't have absolute right of way here (right of way has to be given, not taken), but you'd hope (hopelessly!) that people would use all the road. Not a chance. Not only does he stay in lane 2, but then comes right up against my rear, with his lovely wife waving her fat arms around at me as much as the space in the Escort will allow. I just pointed at the outside lane, increased my speed up to the NSL, and left them behind pottering along at 61mph and doubtless discussing hooligan drivers who swerve around between the lanes!

They should be hung by their feet from motorway bridges above the middle lane, with their heads just below the height of passing, well overtaking, HGVs. Good sport could then be had as to how long they will survive. Taking bets would be encouraged.

Had a similar experience this morning. Two lanes coming out of Halifax by North Bridge. The left joins aarchen way to Leeds and the right goes into the aarchen way towards burnley/rochale.
Bloke in right hand land indicates left and, as I'm in his blind spot, almost drives into me which made me swerve left and almost drive into the car on left hand lane of the road I was joining.
Guy in car started beeping and waving his fist at me because clearly I shouldn't have been in his blind spot or atleast make the truck behind me slow down instantly to allow for his error!!
