I've never hit anyone up the back, but if I did I'd apologise, because that's the right thing to do when you make a mistake and cause damage to someone elses property. Then I'd phone my insurer and say "I've had an accident and it's my fault, I ran up the back of some guy because I wasn't concentrating."
And then we would completely ignore (OK, we might record it) what you have said and make our own minds up Right time to stick up for taxi drivers.
I run my own taxi company and all cars are proper London style hackneys which cost 35 grand a pop. All my drivers can only have a maximum of 6 points and must be a able to pass an enhanced CRB check so it's fair to say they are pretty good.
I am in the process of installing in car video for all cars as I demand the highest standards of driving and in 10 years my fleet have only had 3 fault accidents and one of those was a cash for crash job which eventually we recovered our losses.
Yes accidents happen but please don't put all taxi drivers in the same category

Your car is fixable and since the taxi driver is at fault his insurance will pay for your repairs. There is no need to write off a perfectly good car because of a minor shunt like that. Simple as that. Do not engage the other party or their insurance, your insurance company will deal with it if they are any good.
This often ends up with the innocent party out of pocket, though. If it's straightened, repaired, and re-sprayed, the insurance company might say that it's as good as it previously was, but we all know that it can knock resale values, and it can even feel different to drive afterwards.Well, it took a while but she is home!
I am still being messed about by the other guys insurance company, and I expect it will be several months before I am no longer out of pocket, anyway, how about a before and after?

Now, sadly the car got a bit dirty before I could take the phots, I plan on giving it a polish and getting some proper photos when the sun comes out.

Wheels are too narrow or inset they look drowned under that bodykit. Paintwork looks great though happy to see you got it back looking mint.
Cheers pal, I am still looking into wheels, I think maybe 9j on the front and 10j on the rear, I can now run slightly wider tyres Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
