Enjoying a last drive in my Griff in the late autumn sunshine before it goes off the road for the winter and some thoughtless idiot in front throws a burning cigarette out his window. Worse still he dangled the bloody thing out for a few seconds before decisively throwing it into my path. It hit the front of my car and makes sparks fly. I blatted round him and waved an enigmatic fist. Mind you he was obviously an idiot because he then starts chasing me in his Audi TT presumably thinking I want a race with him, as if. hehe This really winds me up, as it's so thoughtless. I'm guessing he didn't have the ash-tray delete option so it must have been the brain delete instead rolleyes

because he probably didn't realise you were there! Sorry, don't know much about TVR's but if it was a convertable or hard top you were driving did it cause any damage?, Set light to your fibreglass? give you lung cancer? set light to a child, or God forbid a kitten?

Aside from it being a litter hazzard & unsociable, Get over it.

Is it because smokers are a bit thick and selfish?

So what happened after he started chasing you? DId you out run him? Did he re-overtake you?

Just curious.

Oh, and the answer is in the question. Idiot. (Him, not you).

What is there to defend about this practice? It's littering. No more acceptable than tossing a bag of fast food wrappers out the window.

It is more than just annoying when I am riding my motorbike and it happens to me.

Unfortunately quite a lot of people seem to still think it's acceptable to drop litter on the ground.

My mate set fire to his arm after doing this once. He'd just been to the petrol station. He waved it frantically out the window to put it it out. Police saw him, pulled him over and he got nicked for being in possesion of a firearm.

Sorry, wrong forum. Anyhows, yes I hate this too. What are the odds of it entering the csbin of the car behind if the roof is down? Impossible surely?

Not quite sure what that's got to do with anything. Using the same analogy, if someone threw a fag butt at you and it didn't damage your clothing or set you alight, would you still be quite as blase?

When I was 16 and on a scooter I had a lit fag butt hit me in the visor. Good job I had it down at the time.

As tidybeard said, you've answered your own question - because they are thoughtless idiots!

Well to be honest I didn't realise he was chasing me for a while and then after about 2 or 3 miles I just carried on at my brisk pace and he dropped back but it was funny to watch when I realised what he was doing.
