Morning

I have just put a deposit down on this http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2011...

I am driving down tomorrow to view the car and assuming all is well, drive it home. Can I ask you far more knowledgeable chaps your opinion of the car, price, spec etc?

I have been searching for a while and this is the sort of spec I was looking for, and doesnt appear to be missing anything major. High mileage is only niggle

Also, I obviously want to give the car a once over and I curious if I should be looking out for anything obvious, either having a look around or a test drive

Never heard of Carbase before but read some bad reviews, so just treading carefully

Thanks in advance

Has it got heated seats?

ETA: Yes, yes it does hehe

Check history closely as that's big (albeit motorway probably) mileage.

Otherwise, congratulations on the purchase. Car looks great and the engine is a peach.

Is it me or does the driver's seat look a little... weird?

Not much help, but are Audi seats usually that baggy? The driver's seat looks like a bad-quality re-trim, and the rear seat doesn't look much better.

Well spotted. Hmmm, could it just be due to number of miles?

The wear in the back is a little weirder IMO. Could be the number of miles but I did instantly think "retrim" when I saw it, just looks mis-aligned around the bolster area. Could just be the photo mind you but I would definitely want to see full history and HPI.

Most certainly will check history and ask to see HPI report. 2 things on my list. Thx again

The fourth picture of the rear of the car appears to show the left hand side sitting an inch or two higher than the right. It may just be the angle the picture was taken at but worth checking out nonetheless.

Bmws do this alot so I will assume this is normal for Audis.

Might be advisable to run your own HPI check. Don't just rely on what the dealer has to show you.

I thought exactly the same on the seat - retrim, or the outers have been off for some reason.

Worth comparing against other simlar models (from piccies) to see what their interior looks like.

Could be, but as LongLiveTazio says there is a similar thing with the rear seat.

May be worth eyeballing other similar aged A5's to see what they look like. (A peek through the window would do ... maybe stop off at an Audi dealership and wander around for 10 minutes.)

What? Unless an A5 has some hitherto unmentioned asymmetric suspension I'd class this as a (major) fault.

The pics are taken close up to a garage door. There is a raised bit of cement riding up under the door and it looks like the wheel is on it you goons hehe

Not trying to find fault here, (well, yes i am) but does the font on the rear number plate look very big and fat?
