RE: Meet the 200mph Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
Discussion
I think someone should put all the most 'stereotypical prehistoric-American' components toghether into one car just to satisfy all the anti yank guys:
Platform from the Mustang with live axle
Engine from Chrysler with pushrods and cast iron block
And an ultra small throttle because the 6.4 litre Chrysler hemi makes 74 bhp/litre which is more than many cooking 4 valve Hondas and needs to be trimmed down to make say, 30 bhp/litre!
Then Polyglass GT cross plys could be fitted so the car squealed around corners!
Then we'd keep them happy!

It'd still be pretty quick/fun yet cost less than a golf diesel.Platform from the Mustang with live axle

I'd have the Camaro any day over the Mustang (that old new styling is lame - here it is all going in the bin for the next one) or the Dodge Charger(?).
Great styling. Good review / vid of the new ZL on Leno's Garage last week
Shame the Camaro borrows its inspiration and all those cues from the '69 Z28 then... in reality the 2010 Mustang left the retro thing behind and started trying to be more European in flavour.Great styling. Good review / vid of the new ZL on Leno's Garage last week

+1 although to be fair my 2010 GT looks more like a 90's import Mitsubishi according to some folk swerni said:
Your getting a bit of a fanboy aren't you
It's a real shame the Stang is trying to be more European, it's lost most of its charm.
If I wanted European I'd by an M3
I support the underdog but for now, I'd say they were about even. I'd happily have either. I am a bit of a heretic as I do love all generations of the Camaro but never much liked the classic Mustangs, just the 2005. As a past owner, even you have to admit they got the styling bang on in 2005.It's a real shame the Stang is trying to be more European, it's lost most of its charm.

Just as a matter of interest, Revell are releasing a 1/12 scale 2010 Mustang kit next Spring. Click the link to find out more.
