Driving a Jag I'll assume its turning circle is massive, so say half of whatever an EP3 Civic Type R can do it in.

Is that for the Picanto? If so, thats more than respectable. It must be one of the tightest turning FWD cars!

Size of car has much less to do with it than the angle you can turn the wheels.

RWD cars can have more steering lock as they don't have driveshaft angles to worry about....

My Noble has the worst turning circle ever. It actually makes me look a complete tw*t sometimes, especially if I happen to be somewhere where it's getting some attention like a pub carpark. You can see em looking and thinking 'flash b*stard... can't even drive it'. It's even worse in the dark when I can't see out the back, so I tend to park where I can go off in the right direction!paperbag

Triumph Herald was advertised as 25ft (7.62metres extremely approximately)
Spitfire/gt6 would be a bit less (or is it fewer)
Why would you need more?
It's pretty sweet turning in the road with one move like a black cab.

Classic Impreza. 10m

It is very impressive for the size of car. Noticeably better than the GF's Fiat 500

At least with a defender you can go through the hedge and carry on round wink

Wheel spacers can improve the lock by allowing you to adjust the lock stops, but they are expensive as disco2 and fender drivers seem to treasure them.

We have one too. You really so have to plan ahead when parking or you get stuck!

My Vitesse does that, trouble is ~ it feels like you`re ploughing the road and you leave a fair percentage of your tyres behind and it puts massive stress on the vertical links which can and do snap. Fortunately the old bus loses traction at stupidly low speeds so you can end up facing the other way without applying any lock whatsoever.

Wasn't that due to the grease nipple being pumped with grease rather than oil wink
The low speed scrubbing of the front tyre - shown up well by the ploughing in that ad

I took my test in a Triumph Herald, when asked to do the three point turn the car could easily have done it in one on the road but I figured that doing that may not go down well! Drove the car a lot and the turning circle was great but it did feel to be putting a lot of strain on things when used on full lock.

I have now gone to the opposite extreme, a Fiat Coupe 20VT, it doesn't have a turning circle, there are so few places you can actually turn fully it almost always needs at least a 3 point turn. Definitely the worst feature of the car.
