Here's a nice clip comparing the original Mini's turning circle to the MK1 Renault 5 and MK1 Ford Fiesta:

Nissan Cube's turning circle is 4.4M if figures are to be believed.

If you watch the rest with the sound off you get a better idea of Baxter grimacing over every bump

306 gti6 is supposed to be 12m. Not sure I believe that figure. It also depends which way you turn!

According to Parkers, 11m for the EP3 Type R, which is pretty shocking when you consider it's not a huge car.

So much for RWD though, have you seen the turning circle of a Clio V6?!

It is reputed to be fantastic at parking hedgerows at speed, hopeless in a car park though wink

I have now gone to the opposite extreme, a Fiat Coupe 20VT, it doesn't have a turning circle, there are so few places you can actually turn fully it almost always needs at least a 3 point turn. Definitely the worst feature of the car.
yes

Parkers says the turning circle is 10m which is grossly optimistic, it makes a nuclear submarine look pretty manoeuvrable.

My wife's Octavia Estate has vastly better steering lock though it's listed at the same 10m. Every time I drive the Octavia I'm amazed that I can get into and out of tight parking spaces without having to do this

Tell me about it, the civic has a shocking turning circle. Some of the vans I drive at work are smaller.

Just googled all mine and really surprised. Even the ML is only 11m and the worst car I've had was the Evo 7 FQ which I thought was really bad but that was 10.5.

How do you turn your car round a full 360 degrees, with the handbrake, in a smaller circle than if you were just creeping in first gear?

You're going to cover a lot more ground from the second you pull the handbrake, til you've rotated 360 degrees, bearing in mind the speed you're going to have to be carrying, than if you just dawdled round in a circle at 2mph.
I was thinking quick 180 and work out the circumference from that. not difficult. also joking.
