You don't know what you are talking about, also you must think we are s of the highest order if think we are going to fall for any more of your tttery.
I don't profess to know what I am talking about but I though maybe somewhere on piston heads might be some people who could offer proper advice or comment's. But I guess your probably just a bunch of kids or something, I think I'm going to leave piston heads & go back to torquecars.comI problem solve, I fix, I diagnose and I get to the root of mechanical problems by using my experience and skill.
My experience and skill is telling me that you have no experience or skill and don't know what you are talking about. Step away from the spanners if you don't want to learn that an 8mm nut did not kill that engine.

Your spelling is terrible!

Not referring to any posts in particular, just the fact people are calling him all sorts of names which just seem unnecessary!
Not to mention that nobody seems to appreciate (or even believe) what has happend here.I joined piston heads months ago but spent all my time on torquecars.com instead. Now that I've gotten an idea of the kinds of people who post on here I can't really believe it, you all sound like a bunch of kids who learned everything from gran torismo 4 or something.
I mean, dous anybody on here ever go racing, work on cars or have anything interesting/helpfull to tribute? or are you not old enough to drive?
It is apparent to me that there is a lot of ego & very little personality on piston heads. & I dare say that many are not the experts they profess to be.
Anyway I'm not wasting anymore of my time on this website, I'll recommend it to my 17 year old nephew who has a 1.25cc fiesta with a 6 inch back box that he drives round the town at midnight & thinks he's a racer. He'll fit right in.
Good bye.

It amazes me people who spell like 5 year olds are able to afford cars.
I spell like a 5 year old?OP why did you run the engine with the nut in?
I cant see how the nut caused that damage, if it didn't block the oil supply in some way. its a clearly lack of oil or oil pressure.
Having said that I would never have run the engine with it in. stranger things have happened.
but I really think some of the posters have gone well over the top, I don't think killing a Honda Vtec is the crime of the century .
VR
It's only the internet!
I enjoy threads like this where an OP posts bks and it all just goes rapidly down hill.Sadly though,it seems more often than not these entertaining threads get deleted when the OP throws their toys out the cot.
I personally don't know about this OPs case,I don't know enough about mechanics, but the collective seemed to all echo the same sentiment, and then the toys went flying, cheers OP!

Just be thankful you didn't post in the Engines and Drivetrain forum. Everyone in here has been kind, believe me I joined piston heads months ago but spent all my time on torquecars.com instead. First, I'd like to thank everybody for taking the time to F*****G PISS-TAKE!!
When I took the sump off (after grinding to a halt on the road), the oil was full of metal filings, too much to have been the remnants of the rogue nut. The top is also full of bits of metal aswell, so that is why I'm playing it safe & getting a new engine.
The moral of the story is: If you drop anything into your engine, get it out strait away!

anyway, welcome to PH, if you do something stupid and post it on the internet, be prepared for a few "you're and idiot" posts.
You didn't ask for any help so piss taking was the only real response.
PH isn't that bad, Had you asked for some help, you would probably have got that too
SC001 - I will agree and disagree - there are indeed some prise tits on here, they usually leave before hitting 10 posts. most of us are normal, drive interesting cars and race / work on a range on posh metal.
however the point they are making is that dropping a nut INTO an engine and carrying on using it is like dropping a chunk of glass in your soup and carrying on eating it!!!!!!
HOWEVER - in your defence, i cant quite understand how a nut in your sump is going to bugger your big ends????????????
