Insurance ncb question
Discussion
Hi all,
First off I apologize if this is in the wrong forum but I could't find another more appropriate. Anyway I know No claims bonus lasts for 3 years? I have a renewal for an old car of mine through flux with an effective date of 2/3/09 saying I have 6 years ncb. I didn't renew with them and went on to a classic policy where I didn't earn anymore. Now im looking to get a car and im wondering is that renewal letter still good enough to use the 6 years ncb or do I need to start again?
Thanks

doh! Ok thanks, I guess ill start again
Just because the general concensus between insurers is 2 years doesn't mean it's set in stone, ring around insurers explain the situation you'll likely find an insurer who will either accept your NCB or give you some sort of equavilant (sp?) discount.HTH

Direct line used to honour NCB for 3 yrs iirc.
Although the difference between insurers is likely to be more significant than the discount anyway.
Little update: I thought I was still in the time before my ncb ran out so I got searching around. I've managed to find a renewal letter stating my 6 years ncb, this was for a renewal in Feb 2010. I didn't renew with them but will this do as proof so I don't have to start again?
Thanks
