Why?

White,black,grey VAGs with the inevitible black cloth interior are possible the crappest colour combinations there are.
But they're not. They're very popular and help a car hold resale value.

Metallic yellow with spearmint seats is what this thread is about - it's not about the most common paint / trim combinations out there, just because you think they're a bit dull and predictable.

Because the vast majority of the car buying public are drones who don't want to differ from the norm.

Give me the spearmint! hehe

Is it Jade green that Porsche call one of their interiors? That looks pretty bad, seem to remember one being on sale on PH for absolutely ages.

However that yellow S class might take the biscuit, never has a car looked so wrong.

The yellow S-Class is too much for me. If it had tan leather, I'd be keen, but the red and black combo is plain nasty.

All these threads show is that taste is a matter of taste. I'm looking for a second hand w212 E-Class at the moment. I know what I want. Cuprite Brown Metallic paint, Natural Beige leather upholstery, brown wood, small wheels, Avantgarde trim. There are none. They are all silver or black with black leather, Sport trim and big wheels. It is so boring. Popular that combination may be, but in book, popular always equals rubbish. The nephrite green leather on the 911 is gorgeous.

Looks like it's a mobile Ripspeed showroom.

I rather like that. And I'd take that S500 on the flat-face AMG 5 spokes.

However, this gets the thumbs down;

Probably wouldn't look too bad with a bit of black in there - black carpets, steering wheel and instrument pod, at least.
