Side light bulbs burn out regularly
Discussion
Has this been happening for a long time or is this s recent problem?
The reason I ask is that I had a dud box of bulbs last year (I tend to buy a box at a time). I thought I had an electrical problem, but just turned out to be dud bulbs - they were only lasting a couple of days before blowing.
Luckily our suppliers had also had complaints from other people, so when I mentioned it, they gave us a new box of bulbs and the problem went away.
ETA: I reread your post and see it's a volvo. I think the lights come on automatically when you start the car? I used to be lazy during the winter months and leave the lights switched on (they go off automatically with the ignition). Since I've stopped doing this, I also have a lot less bulbs blowing.

It has always happened. Dipped headlights are always on and they are in the same light box, so to speak. Headlights last about a year, but the side lights are only lasting a few months. I was going to change make to see if some are better than others. The reason I ask is that I had a dud box of bulbs last year (I tend to buy a box at a time).
