Good riddance
Horrible piece of "Bling"
Not sure about that. It looks too anonymous and bland if anything. It rarely, if ever appeared in rap videos unlike Rolls/Bentley/Aston/Merc etc.Horrible piece of "Bling"
They are surely a great thing to be driven in (the dragons love them ), however so is a Rolls which has SO much more about it.
It just came across as a very expensive Mercedes. If they called it, I dunno, the Merc L class and priced it at about £150k then it might have sold more.

Have you seen Dragons' Den star, Theo Paphitis's Maybach, it really is worth googling.
I shut the company down solely based on that.
If you really have to "arrive" then buy a roller and at least show you have taste as well as money.
If you just need to be driven there then get a LWB S class
Or if like most of these guys your business is in London then get a Black cab !
It just amazed me that Merc / Daimler could make a car so damned ugly and badly proportioned and then expect to get customers to pay a significant premium for one over the S-Class for the interior appointments.
It was the Hunchback of high-end luxury motoring.
But will it now be THE luxo-bargain now that production has stopped? And will we see them scattered sparingly in the hands of the masses should it happen?
Or could they become an investors dream in years to come?

Rolls-Royce Music Group... Oh no, wait, it's Maybach Music Group isn't it?!
Enough of the pedantry though. I think ties between the rap and the automotive world centres on the Maybach. Jay-Z was rumoured to be an ambassador for the brand, Birdman has one of the Maybach 62 Landaulet, Rick Ross founded Maybach Music Group, he also has a Maybach unsuprisingly.

200 a year? That's not good. Rolls sell about 3,000 p/a I think.
So will it become a rebadged/facelifted MB?

But I think that may only be the phantom and no the coupe or drophead.

That said, I've never seen a Maybach on a music video (not that I watch many) but stuff like Bentleys/Ferrari's etc. are almost synonymous with them.
Regardless, it wasn't really a brand to "pose" or "bling" in because most people would ignore/not know what they are. They just look like an oversized Merc.
Anyway, however good or not they are, I don't think it's a car that many will miss. It's easy to forget something you barely knew existed after all!
