Those Scuderia shields (for which they charge big money) are just vile. They are a real sign of what is wrong at Ferrari and why I don't want one. They are just too bling. Great cars, on the whole, but blingtastic.

"The seats in the 599 GTB 60F1 are by Sabelt in the European version and Recaro in the American version, "

Why would this be? Are the Sabelt seats not approved for the US?
The euro and US spec seats differ in weight, materials of construction and folding mechanism.

I imagine it is simply a cost issue, Recaro could build US spec seats cheaper than Sabelt, and Sabelt could produce Euro seats cheaper than Recaro. (That is my guess)
I think it could also be a matter of brand recognition. Even non-petrolheads in the US recognize that "Recaros" are performance seats, whereas if you said, "Sabelt", the average American would be scratching their head.

As far as the car; it's basically a 599 with white stickers... big deal. I'd like to see what the Gonzalez version looks like, since it doesn't have the stickers.

What's with the crap image quality, though? I can't even make out what the text on the b-pillar is in the second pic.

That is really nasty IMO.

All of the unpleasant, tasteless elements of Ferrari seem to have been concentrated in that car.

I can imagine it will be very popular with 17-25 year old males in the Middle East with independent wealth. They will drive it while wearing the matching baseball cap.

Not Ferrari's finest hour.
