Ok, My dad has asked me my opinion of this. I personally think it is likely to be a bit pile of pop.

So is it better to tell him to spend the money on actually petrol rather than this thing?

Or is it too new, and they can't move fast enough to insert it into new cars?

Ok, so yes it is a scam.

I have to convince my dad not to do it! Give me a realistic quote I can use for it?

Honest.

As others have said if this worked the manufacturers would do it. Long ago.

Remember the first rule of scams:

If it looks to good to be true, it IS too good to be true.

Second rule:

There is one borne every minute.

Do not be that one.

I don't think they do many miles, just want to feel more green and save money on petrol.

Note to self: get them to buy diesel next time.

So... it produces HHO gas to make your engine work better.

Remind me why water vapour would enhance combustion?

Because, ironically, it contains 2 of the most flammable gases in the periodic table.

It's just when they're combined to make water, they sort of put fire out.

But you could see how people could come to some form of "logical" conclusion that water vapour would make their car better.
