Here's one I bought a couple of weeks ago for the same reason as you need it. It uses the same system as the crystal but the 'crystals' are in a solid block meaning that you can't spill them, it also has a spout with a plug so that you can pour the water out easily and it won't slop about inside the car. So far it's been completely successful, from having to run the car for ten minutes every morning to dry it out I now just get in and drive away - fantastic!

Best Tip I heard was to clean the window with cleaner, or even water vinegar mix. Then dry it all off with newspaper. The newspaper does a really good job of polishing and lifting all the oils from the screen.

This is assuming the interior is generally pretty dry to start with.

I did this on our Volvo V70 and have had no problems since. The visibilty is massively better as well. smile

That's the one, you can see little triangles where you missed mist up! I reckon alcohol wipes would be nearly as good.
I think they might have stopped making this, the review was from 2007 and it seems impossible to get hold of now.
Shame really as the major plus point of this was it's ease of application - Rain-X, whilst excellent, is a proper PITA to put on. frown

Rain-X interior is rubbish and makes the problem far worse.

My Golf occasionally does this and I found the position of the cold/hot dial seemed to have an effect. I'm still not sure if leaving it on hot keeps out moist external air or whether allowing cool air to make the screen cold is best - oddly in the middle seems best.

Works perfectly on my car. Only problem is you need a bit of patience applying it not to end up witha slightly streaky finish.

If you've got a pollen filter, make sure its a clean fresh one. A clean one combined with the aircon should clear it quick - if the filter is dirty it will block the incoming air and chuck out dirty air.

What happens if you take the pollen filter out and run without it?

Fairy Liquid is a pretty effective solution, needs to be rapplied every couple of weeks though.

I might have to look into some dehumidifyer things for my car though...

Well that's what I thought! Not much pollen at this time of year either.
Are there any reasons why I shouldn't take it out then?

Rain X anti fog stuff works pretty well.

Use it in the Landy for all but the windscreen (heated so no need)

Also if its not been fitted properly it is possible for the housing to let water in an possibly cause your misting issue, or if its full of leaves etc this can block drainage pipes causing water ingress.
I Cant remember if its behind the glovebox or behind a removable section of scuttle on the N/S on your year. Its well worth a check.
