Aye, but there's been a ton of snow up in Glencoe and they're considering opening up the ski slopes tomorrow!

I've booked a long weekend in Aviemore for end of Feb, so it's nice to see a bit of a snowbase going down right now When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!

Even the weather in Newcastle Upon Tyne is getting a little wild. I've just driven to Sounds Alarming in Byker and then back home again, the rain is coming down in buckets and the wind is blowing a gale. As I was driving along a stretch of DC towards the end of my journey the rain was falling so fast and in such quantity the windscreen wipers couldn't clear it properly. Then as I proceeded along the DC I could see sheets of water being blown perpendicular to my direction of travel, illustrating the severe crosswinds hitting the nearside of my car. The DC was clear of other traffic, but I still back off at that point for fear my car was about to be blown sideways!
Not quite up to Scottish strength but here in North Yorkshire a gust of wind just picked a tile off the roof of my office and sent it spinning over my car by about 3'. It was agonising listening to it banging loose for a few minutes before it shot off and no point moving the car as it would then be nearer some other catastrophe in waiting...
If it had hit someone it would have killed them without a shred of doubt.
Going to be one of those days.

It's a fantastic drive in the dry, went up for the first time at the end of August. Is it easy enough to get to when its chucking it down with snow? When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!

Are the Scottish ski resorts really opening this week for a bit? If so I may load up the 4x4 and come for some fun...

Be very careful on the M74 after Abignton services. It can be very gusty on calm days due to the elevation and the valley effect.
It will be mental today.
Cheers for that, been doing this every week for the last 9 months but if its still bad later I may just come back first thing tomorrow morning. Drive down on Monday was snowy, drive back today (hopefully), windy. Awesome It will be mental today.
