Presume on business mate is it? Will depend on the type of business and type of use, it's possible. Have you got full business use ont he car in this country as it is? Do you not come home at all during that 6 months?

Best to talk to an insurance broker who knows their way around.

Maybe A-plan or Adrian Flux.

There are 2 mainstream insurers that do this.

SAGA and you have to be over 50 to get insurance with them. There insurance is for 365 days.

LV for any age but theirs is for 6 months.

Both are giving fully comp insurance for Europe.

Anyone else won't but I suggest you read the small print for clarification.

There are a couple of other not so main stream guys but their premiums will make you wince; as if we don't already.

Aviva is a total of 6 months but restricted to a maximum of 90 days for any 1 journey

Zurich is a maximum of 60 days in any 1 year

Stuart Collins (google for details!) is a broker who offers year-round cover for Europe. I think it's an AXA policy, and I believe it gives you full cover (same as you get in UK), unlike some other policies where you don't get the same level of cover as when in the UK. It's a little more expensive than I was paying before, but only by £100 or so IIRC.

All policies sold in the UK provide the minimum cover in any EU or associated country (like Switzerland) all year round. That's EU law. But fully comp cover is a different matter.
