Hello all

Does anyone on here have any experience of importing classic cars from the states ,south Africa ,New Zealand or Australia. I would be interested to know what the procedures are ,the cost of getting the correct documentation, crating and freight costs, and the possibility of acquiring a qualified inspection of the car before shipping. I am in the early stages of research and have not decided upon which type of vehicle or where i might decide to import from, obviously RH drive would be preferable but the US rates seem pretty good at the moment. The whole purpose would be to take advantage of exchange rates and a better climate resulting in a better bodyshell. Possible makes would be MG TF TD MGA, TR2 TR3 TR4 TR5 TR6, MUSTANG.
Any advice from specialist importers or individuals would be welcome.

Many thanks Rick
