Oh, hang on....
I had an S2000 that met several trees. One front wheel was a foot futher back than the other and I would have said that did the trick but on finding the interia switch it started on the button and still drove...

Cannot get precious about cars. I love them but they are just cars at the end of the day. Girlfriend all the time, friends have had for the weekend, even random blokes on track days. My cousins 21st birthday present was a trackday at Bedford in the Tuscan, open pit lane, i got as much pleasure watching him find his limits as driving it myself. The MR2 has been tracked by friends. Track day planned in March with a load of friends and the Tuscan and MR2, can't wait to see them ragged!

Trusting a PH'er with your car is like trusting Stringfellow with your girlfriend.

Just remembered I actually put my mate on the insurance of my 182 for a week driving around Europe. At the time, he didn't have a car and had barely driven for a year hehe

We went to the Nurburgring and after a couple of laps of my own, I told him to jump into the driver's seat. He took it quite easy until the Karoussel when he suddenly got very nervous about the loud noise the car was making. He thought he'd broken the car, but it was just the tyres squealing hehe

Let my mum use it without a problem, step dad I do worry about...I don't like his driving!

Mates? Not really, one took 11 times to pass, there is one that I would maybe, but I would let her borrow a lung!

To be fair that doesnt neccessarily mean they are a bad driver. Ive met plenty of people who really struggle with tests and its not like i flew through it first time as for some reason i'd been driving very well and properly for hours but when the examiner got into the car my brain fell out of my head.

To be honest i think your friend deserves credit for having the guts to go back and do it 11 times, most wouldve been too short of confidence to go back after a few fails.

Family only, only my mum, dad and uncle have driven it.

Have had a couple of friends ask for a shot, and a couple of exes (who didn't even have licences then got offended when i said no)

I know i've not got a highly powerful, expensive car or anything, but it's my most expensive and prized possession. Alot of folk don't seem to understand that when i say no :S

I'd trust my mum with any car, she's an awesome driver.

Just reallllllyyyyyyy slow at times.

So yeah, no risk there. Plus she raised me for 19 years, so it would be rude not too.

Anyone who wants to drive it, I would like it if someone who had a car I liked let me drive it so its only fair to do that.

Because of this Ive gotten to drive some cool cars and nice bikes so result!

When I had company cars, anyone really.

Now I have my own, no one unless I'm with them. If I had a manual car then probably no-one...

OP's question not anything like a problem as I see it ; I have a good mate (Hammerhead of this parish) as named driver on the BEC, simply because we are likely to do petrolheady things together, - and he steers at least as well as I smile

The BMW - pretty much anybody, as long they're insured.

The Camaro - Only experienced LHD drivers, and still very few, due to the competition clutch & hard brake pads.

Anyone can take my Lexus for a steer as long as they are insured. I barely give a st about it and will be scrapping it next summer, so if someone writes it off they will be doing me a favour!!

As for the Honda, only my Dad (He owned it for 10 years!) is allowed to drive it. It may be an old Honda to most, but to me it means everything due to having such sentimental value. In my eyes, it's priceless.

Anyone who is legal to drive, apart from who I judge to be a ... Can't stand people who get all precious over a run of the mill hatch etc.

Obviously if I drive anyone's car I treat it exactly as they wish, with the strict understanding you bend you mend, works both ways!

Some of the most fun I have in my cars is with someone else driving them, cars are for sharing & enjoying!

My dad... he's about it really! My mum on the Escort as we split the costs, I still have a pop at her for thrashing it when it's cold though boxedin

Most of my mates make me wince when I'm in the car with them, just through the complete lack of mechanical sympathy. Every time I've sat in my car with someone else driving it's made me die a little bit inside, people are spoiled by modern machinery and being completely detached from actually having to put any effort in! Only a bloody Astra FFS but every time without fail they get to the first corner and end up going pretty much straight ahead hehe
