The later 218 CLS 63 with a remap would probably crack 200 if derestricted, dont they tune to well over 600 bhp ?
Managed 196 if I remember right best at Vmax in a 750bhp cls63 biturboI think it would have done 200 if I was a bit braver
Probably 10 other cars that day that broke 200 though, couple of Aventadiors, a Huracan, the hypercar trinity, Veyron and some highly tuned 911TTs and GTRs

If you're thinking 2x wheels (I'm not!) then my brother-in-law's best mate's home made viper engined bike has proved it's capable...

Simon's stuff is awe inspiring, homemade v12 kwaks, the rotary engined monster etc the man's an absolute genius!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbUrIwA9jVE
We had a deristricted 600 brake Kleeman SLK55 AMG a few years ago and it was certainly capable of 200, but finding somewhere to do it was a different question entirely. We drove it back from Crete, and had 17 attempts to hit 200 through Italy, Germany and Luxembourg, of all places. 193 was our best effort, very difficult thing to find space for. That car was LHD, if the op doesn't want to keep the car long, might be worth thinking about buying one with the wheel on the wrong side, much cheaper to buy in this country. Ours sold in the UK with 20k miles for 18,000 GBP, cheap speed for someone for a 4 year old car that had 30k euros worth of mods.
If anyone's familiar with the west of Crete ( near Chania ) they have something called the " speed road "! I didn't need any more invitation than that when I lived there and managed an indicated 190 in an R8 one quiet ( but memorable ) day on the way back from Omalos, but it was genuinely scary in that environment, my hands were shaking when I parked it. Younger and dafter then! Doubt I'd try it now.
