RE: Time for tea? Ferrari F40
Discussion
Of all the cars available (inc the newer stuff) its still the one i'd buy first should funds allow . Just a shame they keep going upwards value wise!!
On a side note, I wish I had a job at PistonHeads, seems all you need to have is the ability to search YouTube (or the classifieds) and then post up whatever you find as a feature..... Hard life eh
Edit to add: surely the better video to post up would be from "that man of the moment", Monkeyboy giving us an insight as to what its like to drive and why it is THE best supercar - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhR2lXJNg3M

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah - Probably the best car ever?
Doubtful but a true icon nonetheless.I'd rather the F50 though. Naturally aspirated V12 over a Turbo V8 for me.
I remember chatting with John Greatorex a few years back, formerly of Stratstone Ferarri in Manchester, who told me a funny story about going out for a spin in an F40 with the Dealer Principle in the passenger seat.
If I recall I believe he was given the sage advice of something in the region of:
'Go for it John, but just whatever you do, DO NOT LIFT OFF mid corner!'

Err.... not for me thanks or that new MP4 C Noble Lotus thingy that they've just made
So what is your criteria for a great car..a horse on the badge? I don't know what relevance the 12c has?? The F40 is a legend..a pinup..but the greatest car ever should be the pinnacle of engineering in it's time...the F40 is a long way from that..the F1 was unparalleled and probably still is in terms of analogue engineering with no compromises..it blew everything into the weeds

I'm not bothered about engineering or knowing how things work. I'm bothered about how a car makes you feel.
Ferrari for me are top of the list for that.

That is indeed stolen footage from the Milk Films production for DKTV!!Sections 0:34 to 1:15 & 2:20 to 3:00 are both staright from the DK Engineering F40 video...
The full and official DKTV video can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e01zpaVVnZ0
(the F40 sound is a little better on this one!)
As it's spreading the F40 love we cant really complain!!
A credit would have been nice, wasn't cheap to make!
I remember just sitting in one a few weeks ago (it was in for a service at a local indy), never driven or been driven in one though. It felt special just sitting inside - the car was made for driving, pure and simple, which shows as the interior was average
the green sealant stuff inside near the doors really stands out!
greatest car ever IMO
