Hi guys,
Is there anyone on here that can identify this jack of mine. Its seals have blown and i'm trying to find replacements.
There's no identification on it whatsoever, except a stamp on the piston with F316A stamped next to the bolthole where the balls drop into.

Cheers,
Sean

Surely it's just 'O'-rings? I stripped mine down and popped down the motorfactors- they gave me new ones free with a bottle of hydraulic jack oil!

Really...! For free! I'll get myself down to a motor factors or bearing and seal place tomorrow and see if theres general ones which they stock in that case.
Guess I'll bring the piston and cylinder as the seal has actually disintergrated to crud (top right on the picture).
Cheers,
Sean

Made my day it did. My usual motorfactors was closing down so I had to go all the way to New Malden to one that a friend recommended. It's a proper old fashioned motor factors and all the better for it. Big boxes of fasteners and bits, clutch and throttle cables hanging from the rafters... chap behind the counter gave me several cases of 'O' rings and some vernier calipers and let me find the right ones!
In your case though- heavy duty stuff. I think bearings and seals place is a good call, can't see motor factors having it. Mine is only a 1.25 tonne shiny aluminium one, not for defender types!

Thanks for that ClassicGrad98. I found a hydraulics place locally and took some parts for them to measure up for me, got some good looking seals and good advice from there too. The jack works great now!
