You're right.

I often lie awake at night, dreaming of cruising along Sunset Boulevard, pretty girl in the passenger seat, in my white, FWD 170bhp diesel. biggrin

Plenty about - try camaro5.com - but beware, it's fairly standard GM affair.

cloud9 hopefully by the time the insurance is cheap enough for me to afford one of these, the second hand price will make them a bargain, and I don't care if they are only LHD

Drove a friend's Camaro RS last week in Detroit, but despite only being the 3.6 V6 with 320-odd horses felt spritely enough. However, the interior really does let it down, even though it has some cool touches like the head-up speedo. Plastics are low-grade, IMO.

... or is that not on the options list on planet earth? .... and i bet the list price is WAY lower on cybertron too. typical GM - no thought for their terrestrial customers .... wcensoredkers

Utterly smitten and seriously tempted. Production starts next month IIRC. Black vert looks bloody lovely.

I'm just back from the US. Saw what I thought was one of these specials coming the other way down a 'back road' (well smaller than the Interstate with the occasional bend!) and it looked amazing. Seemed slightly wider than the stock Camaro with Viper Green paint and a big black bonnet bulge. Guess it couldn't have been this model though as the article suggests they are not out yet confused

I was in an RV so looking down on it it looked awesome! Couldn't help but give the guy driving it a big thumbup and got a big grin in return.

IMHO I thought these looked way better than the Charger (from the outside at least) and the Mustang was starting to look a bit dated. Petrol prices being US levels I would love one of these Camaro's however, or even better a Holden 6.2 V8 Ute!!!

Could be wrong but all this years allocations are sold (which means there will be plenty "new" available with huge mark-up).

Still a bargain in my eyes.

Yes, sort of. It's the Zeta platform and the VXR8 does use that too.

Swerni as you've now had both the main protagonists, if you had to live with one re-incarnated American Muscle car for the next 10 years which would be? The General or the Blue Oval?

I saw a dark grey one in Manhattan this week, it looked fantastic. Much better than the challenger IMHO
