Cant help but think the Audi A5 nicked the shape and made a better car.
You're right.

I often lie awake at night, dreaming of cruising along Sunset Boulevard, pretty girl in the passenger seat, in my white, FWD 170bhp diesel. biggrin
Okay okay! smile

But thier not all FWD Diesels are they?

S5 or RS5?

And if you were driving along Sunset Boulevard with a pretty girl already you wouldnt need a flash car!

Ah, interesting. Wish I had been able to get a picture.

Your Camaro looks awesome by the way - great colour!
Thanks! The "Sunrise Gold" was the only possible option colour wise for me wink

Thirsty I see where your coming from but the Shelby also has all these upgrades like the electronic damper control etc. What people seem to forget is even the 315hp Mustang GT used to out handle the 426hp Camaro SS even in 2012 and since then its been all Ford. Most mags are expecting the Shelby to out handle and surely out muscle the ZL1 now im afraid but lets see......
The Shelby is slower than the Boss 302 on track... And the Boss 302 is slower than the Camaro. And yet you claim a standard GT outhandles an SS? I call BS...

The GT vs SS, there is no test of the ZL1 vs GT500 yet is there

i want a camaro soooo badly. in south africa they have RHD versions.... why are they not bringing that version to the UK? instead we're still getting the LHD version with the biggest engine configuration.

Performance isn't all about straight lines. Every test I've ever read rates the Mustang handling over the Camaro - but to be honest, I'd buy the Camaro for the looks - I am no particluar fan of the Mustang's styling after 2010 - but for 650hp, I might make an exception, though I'm 100% certain 580hp would never leave me feeling I wanted more.

Both interiors are no better than average but that's not what you're paying for.

You are saying a 315hp Mustang outperforms an SS...

The vid you linked to prove your point, showed the 2012 5.0 GT, which has 412hp.

Depends from person to person.. I have 602hp in the Camaro now and I feel I could still use a "bit" more smile

first vid on youtube they all come to the same conclusion the mustang out handles a camaro that outguns it by over 100hp, the current 5.0 vs the SS is no contest. Stop fighting a loosing battle

Shut the hell up Pascal every magazine that has tested these cars knows that the Mustang always handles better. Take off you beer goggles and maybe you will see the facts!

There are companies who will convert one to convertible, think it was around $18k
It looks shonky though as it was never meant to be a convertible.

Loved my Camaro, but in the quest for something more powerful, bought a Z06. However, when news of the ZL1 came out, I was intent on changing back. With a US price of $35k, I figured on a UK price of £45k, maybe slightly more. Then I saw this...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chevrolet-Camaro-ZL1-580...

£70k!! I know all about car duty, VAT, exchange rates, shipping costs. I know that in the past, the Sterling price would be around the same amount as the dollar price, but this is ludicrous. I imagine supply and demand will see the price drop after the first production run, but to double the price over a bog-standard Camaro seems just a little over the top. No-one loves the Camaro more than I do, but this is a bit too much. Maybe I should have kept my old one and bunged a supercharger on it. Uprated brakes and suspension would have seen it run pretty close to the ZL1 anyway...maybe.

Or am I missing something?

You'd still be missing the magneto-rheological dampers which are probably key to it's circuit performance.

Doubt very much they'd cost £5000 each though...and I'm unlikely to be needing to acheive a 7 minute 'Ring time equivalent around this neck of the woods.
