Richard E. Grant in a baby blue Rolls convertible and the week after on the bus in the Richmond area.

Not sure what happened to him to cause such a downturn in fortunes.

I live next door to a premier league footballer. I see him everyday in either his white GLC or his black GLA. Does that count? hehe

Passed Jay Kay in the back of a Grosser on the M25 years ago, I was told he had been banned from driving (DD?) at around the time so unsurprised he was being chauffeured.

I've seen Jay Kay many times as I was once local to his (amazing) home. One of my bike rides went straight past his house, I've seen him in a lambo and also ragging a moped up and down the road (sans helmet) leading to his house with some big hat on waving.

I was admiring a mint 528e E28 in the local shops car park, after I'd just parked my old banger E30 up, when I heard a voice say "she's lovely isn't she", turn around and he is walking toward me with a bag of shopping. We stood and talked about it for 5 mins before I made excuses and carried on with my shop (and let him go!). He was just a bloke who loved cars and could probably have talked for hours.

Driving through Sunningdale a few years ago on a Sunday morning, spotted a pair of old Ferrari's, followed them aimlessly, until they disappeared into what I later discovered was Chris Evan's driveway !

I assume he was driving one of them.

Jay Kay is a bet of a legend, met him a couple of times and had a good chat.

I have a few but nothing spectacular but always seem to be at the same place;

Mercedes SL500 - Ron Dennis at Wentworth
Bruce Forsyth - Rolls Royce at Wentworth
John Terry - Bentley Continental GT with some JT number plate on it at Wentworth
Eddie Jordan - Golf Buggy at, yes, you've guessed it, Wentworth.

I think I might need to go to another golf club. Might get some more interesting people!

Errol Brown from Hot Chocolate in a Rolls Royce near Brooklands. It was in my motorcycling days and I happened to overtake him - must be 30 years ago I should think.

Sometime in the late 1980's I was crossing the A26 near the traffic lights in Crowborough, when I hear a nice sounding coupe leave the filling station about 400 yds down the hill. So I waited as it pootled up to the lights and it was a Dino driven by Roger Daltrey, with passenger (no idea who), but his light was green and away he went.

Once when having sandwiches in the car parked (illegally) in Regents Park outer ring, a Montego stopped alongside and Anne Diamond asked me if I was soon to be moving (this was around 1989 and iirc she was still on TV). It was only a mid spec - not Vanden Plas.

Saw the Queen Mother in convoy pass through Biggin Hill high street en route to the next ribbon cutting, sat regally in the back of a classic Range Rover as the outriders stopped all traffic and the SD1's shepherded her through. This was before she died. I think.

It was about 2004, I was driving back from work in my Clio 172 (loved that car). I worked in Leatherhead, Surrey at the time and coming the other way was Jeremy Clarkson in his Merc SL55!

Would make some sense to see him driving the B-roads as the M25 was knackered and Guildford home of the Top Gear track was that direction.

On The North Circular at the lights where IKEA is now RR Shadow pulled out for the road opposite with the reg EM 100 got alongside at the next set and it was Eric Morecambe. Quickly got a piece of A$ and wrote 'Rubbish' on it and tooted. He looked over really had a good laugh and got the thumbs up. He then left me for dead when the lights changed
