Will 100% be a photo op to make him look like a 'man of the people'... don't fall for it.
He's dripping in wealth from a number of sources isn't he?

Wouldn't be the done thing to flaunt it though in his current employment - even if he was into cars.

That just made me cough out my yoghurt. Thank you, OP.
Ha ha! Actually a Mercedes sports car of some nature going back to the early 1990's when he was a star. Spotted following right behind me in traffic jam on the Fulham Road, me in my humble first car which was as an Astra 1.3.

Anne Diamond (daytime TV presenter) in a silver Montego with two children in the rear, in Regents Park inner circle looking for a free parking space, circa 1993.

I’ve waited 29 years to share that anecdote.

I think I saw Roger Daltrey driving a red Dino on the A26 in Crowborough around the same time. Apparently he used to have a fish farm somewhere nearby back then.

A fair few years ago, I saw Neil Ruddock in a Bentley or RR, I was driving a Sierra Sapphire at the time and being full of blokes we overtook him waving coffee beans and signalling what we thought of him. A couple of miles further down the motorway, my wheel arch lining decides to come off and wedge into my tyre shredding it. As I was changing the wheel on the hard shoulder, we hear a beep and catch Neil Ruddock laughing his face off and waving coffee beans at us.

I've also seen Tony Cottee in a Beemer, and knew it was him as it had his name in the side, in the days where the local dealership would give a footballer a car emblazoned with the players name and the dealership.

I live near Rishi Sunak and often used to drive past his nice but not OTT house and have never seen anything more interesting than generic SUVs . He's a Star Wars kinda guy I think , so he is more likely to collect lite sabers than Alfas .

Agreed. Politicians aren’t the sort of people that drive around Knightsbridge in a blacked out G Wagon making as much noise as possible! Would be funny though.

Years ago I saw Prince Andrew, driving a Bentley with a number plate ending in DOY (Duke of York).

Didn't spot if he was sweating...

Just stumbled on this thread. The nearest I get to seeing anyone famous in their car is, a good 10-15 years ago, seeing a purple Lamborghini Diablo coming the other way whilst I was cycling just south of Colchester. In hindsight presumably JK’s although I didn’t clock who was driving at the time…

Neil and Christine Hamilton at Waitrose, in the most tired, beaten up, scratched, dented and generally knackered X5, with 4 balding miss-matched tyres, 2 of which were flat.

I helped Tiff Needell reverse a Chrysler Grand Voyager out of a tight parking space in a hotel car park in Buckingham once.

I also spotted Michael Owen in a Jaguar XKR in Liverpool in the late 90's. Then a couple of years ago ended up sharing several beers with him in a box at Chester Races after having a tour at his nearby stables. Really nice bloke thumbup

I once nearly ran Roy Chubby Brown off the M6 at 1am.

He was driving a Lexus SUV.

The Queen in the back seat of a Montego estate, tartan rug on her lap, and a corgi on the seat next to her. Montego was preceded and followed by Range Rovers. Circa 1996 heading out of London on the Cromwell Road.

Ari Vatanen, on the day of Colin McRae's funeral, driving a rental VW Passat with his daughter in.

He gave me and my buddy a wave from the adjacent lane in city centre traffic and asked us for directions to the hotel he was staying in.

We ended up leading him there and having a quick chat with him. Absolute gent, insisted on getting his daughter to take a picture of us and dug some collectible things out his bag to sign for us, despite us protesting there was no need, he was on his way home from his friends funeral, we were just happy to help.

Does this count? The Queens helicopter flew over my house on Tuesday, couldn't see who was in it though.
