911 cab? Only say convertible as having the roof off round some of those roads would be awesome.

How about some kind of American muscle car? It has the added benefit of the steering wheel being on the correct side for driving in Europe.

E60 M5

996 Turbo

But what I'd actually do is save a little more and get my dream car, a 996 GT3 in speed yellow.

I am rapidly coming to that conclusion myself !

The only thing that is worrying me about a 997 is all this talk of over rev ranges, cylinder bores being scored, d chunk failures etc etc

It's all leaving me very confused confused

Looks lovely but it's an Auto.....quick search reveals no manuals in my budget.

V8 Vantage maybe in with a shout......

I wouldnt worry, get a decent indie inspection and go for it, the £250 on the inspection is worth it for peace of mind.

Im only in a 996 c2 but love it.

Go for a manual, sports hardback seats, sports exhaust and a none dodgy colour combo inside and out and enjoy.

Porsche C2s is good call, but I would probably go for SL55 AMG or maybe even the Tuscan, its just a bit noisy on the motorway

Changed my mind. I would get this. I little negotiation required, but that is normal with these inthe current market
