LMFAO, I agree

Go on then, I'll stick my head above the parapet.

Absolutely bloody awful. Give me a german barge any day of the week over this ugly, badly built monstrosity.

It might be at the more "interesting" end of the shed spectrum, but that doesn't make it any good...

And for anyone who asks "why don't more cars have rear wheel spats?", it's because, as proven here, they look dreadful.

Excellent shed. One of my all-time favourite saloon cars.
Nope, its not a saloon, an oversized stretched ass hatchback.
No it only came as a saloon

or an estate, in Safari form.

You may well be correct in terms of driver appeal, running costs... etc, but it is still a good Shed. Part of the appeal of buying a shed should be to experience leftfield cars instead of just a cheap version of what everyone else already drives - I mean, if it was to go bang after a couple of months, what does it matter.

These Citroens, for example, are getting rare and as a certified Petrolhead I think it's important to expereince these cars before it's too late (you can then sell it after 3 month for the same price you paid for it).
Whilst I appreciate your sentiments, I find I have absolutely no interest whatsover in "experiencing" what this car has to offer.

Call me a phillistine perhaps, but I see absolutely nothing appealing here that I would feel the urge to throw a bag of sand at.

Not my kind of shed, but each to their own. Seems to have been popular, which is a good thing.

My father had one of the last CX 22 TRSs imported and I had it for a little while after he died, it was great, flew along with the smoothest of rides imaginable.

He also had a Safari diesel before that, but I wasn't too keen on that one.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH you guys giving me nightmares. I hated seeing these cars as a kid. True banger status, a clunker in its highest regard. These looked awful seeing them in the 80's they looked like something of another world. I HATED the flaps over the rear wheel. Ugly as hell, I guess this is also another reason why I do not like the current C6 as its styling seems to be based on this monstrosity.
This shed is a real dirty ole garden rotting garden shed in an allotment field.

I can't take the opinion of a man named after a shonky 90s Dagenham rotbox seriously.

Top, top shedding. I'd absolutely love one of these, the prices can only go up as long as you keep it running...

My Dad had a Cx in the late seventies.I was only a nipper at the time but will never forget that car.It was to me at the time like a spaceship. It had electric windows which to a 5 year old where amazing. My Dad loved the car but had to sell as my Mum hated it as it was too large for her.Have always liked these and it looks like a great leftfield choice of shed.I reckon the values in these will start rising like the Ds in the not to distant future.

Thought SOTW rules required tax and MOT.... at £999 and tax at buyers cost, this puts it over SOTW's famed £1k mark....

Nice car though...
Yeah, I know... but what's the point of rules if you can't break them occasionally? wink
The changes regarding tax/insurance SORN really make the rule slightly hard to achieve so maybe it should just be MOT so able to be Taxed?

Edited ofr typos wink

Love it, as mentioned by someone else, black with black leather in GTi / turbo guise would be a treat.
Probably the last big + interesting car to come out of france (C6 was a good effort mind you)

Based on your experience it would appear Citroen make them exactly like they used to. wink

They were awesome, my father had a CX Prestige for many years, very comfortable ride and not too slow either, the thing I remember the most was sleeping on the floor in the back one night as a hotel was overbooked, even the floor was plushly carpeted. A fine machine with wafty soft suspension of adjustable heightyness.

I think the term "shed" describes this perfectly....all i'd consider using it for is keeping the chickens in.

My only experience of these was as an impressionable teenager a friend's parents had one in GTi Estate format - they had a great dane as a pet and so the functionality of the estate met that dog lugging requirement. Had a few trips out in it and I was always in awe of the "frenchness" of it all

Rotating speedo and funky controls

Armchair seats

An amazing amount of grunt available with a squeeze of the louder pedal

My father had a Ford Cortina 1.6 MKIV 80 and that was a boring lump of dog dirt in comaprison and had all the charm of a STD. I wished he'd buy something inspirational!!!
