Nice blanket statement.
As I stated, it's an observation from my own experience. Delivery vehicles parking on double yellows for 5 minutes is one thing, but builders, plumbers, kitchen fitters etc don't seem to give a rats arse where they park or how long they stay there.

Devils advocaat but he might not be aware he's blocking your drive. It can't be hard to find which house they're working at. Just let him know, if he gets cocky then you can presume he knew and doesnt give a toss then either give a bit of grief, belittle him in front of his mates saying 'my wife can park better than that Muriel' or knock him out.
Upto you

Might he be a blind painter and decorator?

OP knows, but they're not there at present.

The workmen on our street have wandered off somewhere and left their vans like this. I need to get my car out not one of them is in the house they are working on
I guess the OP is in a hurry to go out and can't wait for them to return to the house in question.

Hm, it does look like a problem. Even if the dimwit who blocked your drive moves it, you still can't get out.

Wouldn't bank on it.. the flats that I live in have one access road that is regularly impassible due to inconsiderate parking. Spent almost 2 years trying to get restrictions imposed.. not a chance.

Don't pick up on comedy? I know it wasn't great but I've used it for years. It usually gets a little titter or two.
